Technologies for Expression exposes students to the creative use of technology. Specific software applications will be used within music, art and literature disciplines. The computer credit will consist of one required trimester of Information Technology and two of the courses in the menu below or one full year course as listed below.

 

Courses will be available based on the number of students enrolled. Each course will count as technology credit but may be taught by faculty in other disciplines than the computer department.

Technologies for Expression

This strand of computer study is designed for students to engage with a variety of software to enable students to combine their creative ideas with technology. Either a full year course or a course made up of electives is available.

 

Trimester courses available each 1/3 credit (choose two electives):

 

·        Required Course – Information Technology

One trimester course which emphasizes the use of technology tools for outlining, flowcharting, webbing, and storyboarding. Assessment is based on the student's ability to demonstrate competencies in meeting the benchmarks under each standard. Students enhance their skills with tool software applications including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and electronic research applications. 1/3 credit

·        Technology and music - AA/AAG music department  1/3 credit
