Issues
- Sorting
out blocking – Audrey could not look up sex-education last week – now OK
- Earl’s
student could not log on to C drive – discussion with Bill and Lenny –
Lenny does not want to make C drive accessible to students because of
security issues. Bill wants access for students on this side especially
for males coming over. For now Earl will document what is needed and what
could not be done because of the C drive. Lenny – Bill can make individual
machines useable by having them override the server security.
- YET TO
DO – mapping the drive for the MACS

Library issues: Mac Lab – printer.
Soft ware “Type to Learn Jr.” - Works on 2 of 5 new

- meetings with Lenny and
Bill resolved some issues others not dealt with – the server being locked
down so that the Girl’s side could not be used for example Earl’s
students:
“He needs assessabilty to
my multimedia library which is located on \\aag-pc-11
within the "albany-academy" network.
He also needs to be able to create shotcuts to his desktop so that he can connect to different
areas of the multimedia library and the D drive of his local computer quickly
without having to type in the path everytime he needs
to access or copy things back and forth between the these two places. He will
always be using the same computer in this classroom to accomplish these
tasks... if that helps.”
- PC lab
– Earl now – Christina now
- no projector,
- three
monitors don’t work (12 work)
Bill,
Please take a look at PC #8 because
the monitor pops whenever it's turned on.
Also, PC
#15 (which has a removable hard drive in it) is still missing a workable floppy
drive... it's been almost a year. Maybe we could switch one out of a
non-removable harddrive pc temporarily.
- computer
#15 has no floppy drive - needs
- drives are full from last year’s profiles – Bill in
past has re-ghosted drivers but not this year – need to delete profiles.
Bill,
Computer #1 - It doesn't work at
all. I looked inside and the light on the motherboard is on but it won't
boot-up. Christine and I need this computer to use the projector with our
classes. The projector is also not in the room... do you have it?
Computer #15 - The Removable drive
case doesn't seem to be working. The D drive on that computer wasn't being
recognized by the network or that computer so I tried in in
a different computer and it still didn't work. Then I removed the harddrive from the case and tried it in another case... the
harddrive works. Then I tried another harddrive in that case... it didn't work so I'm assuming
there is something wrong with the removable drive case. Can we order another
case? They're about $35 and I desperately need it for my class.
- due
to media and video next semester need computers to work faster

- Preparation for open house day
January 22nd, 2005
Showcasing
technology at the openhouse can be done by high tech

policy’
