I didn’t

realize

how many holes

in time

there were

until

I began

to fill them

with waitings

 

I knew

all those thousand poems

ago

a future without you

could not exist

      like life without love

      hunger without warmth

      dreams without wing

 

me without you

 

could not exist

 

But it does.

I didn’t understand

your final words

 

I love my memories of you

now you are gone.
